Answered prayers

Our prayers have been answered, Paul went to be with his Father this evening at 7:45 p.m. We will be making arrangements tomorrow and update you with a later blog. "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh, blessed be the name of our Lord."

Thank you, Lord, for Paul's life, for how many of us he loved in Your Name, Jesus. Thank you for his compassion, his wisdom, and his servant heart that helped us to recognize Your Mercy, Oh God. Bless Bonnie, and their entire family as they rejoice that Paul is where there is "no tears and no pain", but also be with their hearts as they miss their beloved husband, father, friend. Surround us all with Your comfort and peace. We ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.

Back in Kansas on Grandma Hesleighs gravestone is the KJV rendering of Job 19:25-27

25For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

26And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

27Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Yet is his flesh, he shall see GOD.

Psa. 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

How this speaks for all of us, and how we echo all the above comments.

Pete and I are sad beyond words over the loss of a faithful, tireless servant of the Lord. We grieve, but not like those who have no hope

In the Gospel of John 11:25 and 26, the Lord clearly lays out for us one of the most blessed promises contained in all of Scripture when He said to Lazarus sister Martha, "I am The Ressurection and The Life. He who believes in me, though he may die, shall live. And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

Turk did! His life was a powerful testimony of a heart that was surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Bonnie, we grieve not for Turk--for he is at "home" with his Lord and Savior in a place so wonderful that it defies description. But because of his loving heart, there will be a void in you and Michelle and Drew's lives that only the Lord can fill. Our fervent prayer for each of you is that He will.

May the Lord comfort your aching hearts with a very real sense of His presence--and grant you His peace that passes all understanding.

In His Love--Cousin John

Dear Hensleigh Family,

Altho we had not become better acquainted with you and Paul over the years we attended MPPC, we admired you from afar for all your dedicated accomplishments and love of God. Your witness was a bright light to many of us.

Regrettably, we are all too well acquainted with the ravages of pancreatic cancer as Vern lost both his father and his uncle to this dreaded disease. I also lost a dear uncle to the same. A cure for this affliction is near and dear to our hearts.

We share the pain and emptiness that is in your hearts from this tremendous loss. Surround yourselves with other loved ones, esp. during the upcoming days. We will be supporting all of you in prayer.

With our most sincere and deepest of regrets,

Vern and Carol Ann Turner

Paul was really a blessing. I did not get to know him so well, but the times I did spend with him were something special. A Jewish value is spreading good will and friendship to make the world better - I think that he was the epitome of this value, always spreading kindness. He is in a better place now (and yes, Jews do believe that other religions go to heaven as long as you were a righteous person on earth). God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1) - God was Paul's refuge and strength, taking him from the pains of this life to the ultimate glory of the next.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the family. Dr Hensleigh fought a great battle and did that with great courage.I did not know him in person but I can feel the wisdom and graciousness that everyone who knew him felt.

Bonnie and family. What an inspiration Paul's life has been.
Only God knows the impact he has had around the world, but I know the impact his quiet strength and faith had on Heather and everyone he met. I treasured our visits. Bonnie, I know how very busy you must be. How can I help? If you think it is appropriate, I would be happy to contact William and see if I can bring McKenna for the services in Kansas. Just let me know. Love to you and all your family. Num6:24-25 Nila Cleaves
